Okayyy, so I'm cosplaying as Shiki in 3 weeks.
I've done pretty well, got the hat, shirts, skirt, boots ( although they're black :( but exact style! )
I've yet to get her fanny bag and if I don't find one I'll have to make it, should be pretty simple.

What I really need help with is her coat.
I have been looking for yellow hoodies and I was going to cut off the sleeves and add the white trim, but I can't find a yellow hoodie anywhere! Not even a white one!
When I find anything that would actually be similar it's really expensive and I wouldn't want to alter it.

I might have to just make it, but I have no experience in making clothes and I have searched and searched but I can't even find a pattern to help me.

See if I make it, I probably wont wear it again.
So I don't really care if it's a "crappy" make.

Would anyone have any sewing patterns or opinions or anything that can help me?

I THINK I DID. PASSABLE. ON MY EXAM. ifiamlucky. I HOPE I AM LUCKY.


Two nights ago I got around to watching Evangelion 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone. Hum. It was good. I admit I am a bit of an elitist when it comes to stuff like this. But I've already complained Cell art vs. Digital with Eva when I watched the Platinum version. Anyway, I wasn't sure I liked it until we got to Ramiel and HOLY SHIT, when it got shot for the first time, that noise it made me scream okay. But it did get better from there, finally. The music was amazing when it was there...but half of the scenes I expected music (because I am totally comparing this to the original) it was just. Silent. :'|

All in all it was good. Though I am VERY wary of the second movie (I will wait till it comes out officially because I CANNOT watch some bootleg recording in a movie theater). I am missing Asuka because she's so fiiiiine and I just want to smash her and Shinji together already. I heard they introduce a new character, Mari. She's some crazy chick in some pimped out eva. I THINK I DON'T LIKE HER ALREADY. I totally thought they were going to put Mana from Iron Maiden in it but yeah. :'| *SCREAMS*

Earlier this week Gabriel Strange posted some news about how things are going on set - looks like there could be some very interesting things posted on the website this weekend!

Gabriel says that donations are still appreciated in case they hit any problems over the next 8 days, anything that isn't used for filming will go towards editing and marketing the film :-)

This is completely my fault but I was seriously under the impression my Spanish Grammar exam was next Wednesday and not this Friday. Good thing I got that cleared up today and not...on Friday when it would be too late. I guess that means it's time to study.

I bought some fold-back clips, a thesaurus and two of these today, except I paid $9 for the two pens and not $7 each. Awesome, I know. Those are my favorite pens ever along with these. I now own 4 of those Staedters and like...8 Zebras. Refills are hard to find for the Staedtlers but not for the Zebras. Blah blah blah. Why am I talking about pens? :'|

Here's a quick breakdown of what you'll find where:

• Scrapbook can now be found under Profile (thanks for your feedback, btw), along with Settings, Stats, and Edit Profile.
• You'll find all the tools you need to post and update entries under Journal, which includes posting and editing entries, managing comments and tags, and customizing your journal's style.
• Friends contains all of your friend settings, from filtering your Friends page to adding, removing, and finding new and existing friends on LiveJournal.
• Under Communities, you'll find links to manage your communities, accept community invites, and create new communities.
• Explore includes search features, RSS feeds, Question of the Day, and FRNK radio.
• Under Shop, you'll find links to upgrade or give a paid account, buy virtual gifts, purchase LiveJournal merchandise (like T-shirts), and view your payment history.

LiveJournal Mobile update:

We've enhanced LiveJournal's mobile site to improve usability and load times. We've made more of LiveJournal's features accessible via mobile, including posting comments, uploading photos, reading and commenting on friends' posts, finding and messaging friends, and more. We look forward to reviewing your feedback and recommendations for future improvements.

Other important changes:

• You can lock comments to prevent further commenting on a post, while leaving existing comments visible.
• We replaced the "Tell a friend" link with a new "Share This" widget that lets you share LiveJournal posts on other social media sites, including Facebook, Digg, Twitter, etc.
• We changed some of the icons on entries (you can hover over the icons to view descriptions).
• You'll see a Tag count on your Tag management page.
• You'll now see the 10 most recent vgifts on your profile page. To remove vgifts, left-click on the vgift and choose whether you want to remove the vgift from your profile or delete it entirely.
• We've added options to help you control receipt of vgifts, which you'll find in My Stuff under Edit Profile. You can now enable vgifts from friends or everyone and disable anonymous vgifts.

We've got your fix:

• UPDATE: Rolling several updates into one listing here -- 1) Scrapbook should be back and working again. 2) The problem with the Update Journal page in IE6 and IE7 should be fixed now. 3) The problem with the userpic add-on package pricing has been fixed and refunds issued to anyone who was overcharged while the erroneous prices were in place.
• Non-conforming images will now be automatically resized for custom mood themes.
• Line breaks no longer count as two characters against your entry's character limit.
• We fixed a bug on the Manage Tags page so you can clear all tags and add new tags.
• We corrected the UI for the update.bml page so it displays properly in IE8.

I'm really frustrated with my hair. I'm so used to it being shorter and now that I am growing it out it's just. In. The. Way. But not like. I dunno. I don't like tying it (I do it anyway). And I look stupid, like REALLY stupid with a headband. So normally, I just let it be hideous and everywhere. I don't want to be retarded and give in and cut it all off, I plan on donating it once it gets long enough. But hhhhhh I have no patience. And this with this heat. AAAAAND. The longer it gets the more my hair falls out ( which is normal for me I've got an endless supply of hair on my head, srsly... but nonetheless, it's annoying as shit) and my floor is in a constant state of HAIR. I have to sweep my floor every other day otherwise everything is disgusting. But. I am too lazy for this. orz

Hey dudes!

So this is something that's been on my mind for ages. I wanted to talk to you guys about teasers. It's our bread and butter right? How many times have you skipped a legacy because it has an ugly teaser? I know I have. It's like ... it's like a cake guys. It doesn't matter how delicious that cake is, if it has ugly frosting you aren't going to eat it.


Now obviously, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What I think is ugly you might think is gorgeous (I think Brendon Urie is hot and god knows other people think he looks like a monkey). But, I think we could all use a little constructive criticism sometimes, and also maybe some basic pointers.

So here is what we're going to do. We're going to take a chance and let people openly tell us what they think of our teasers. Post yours below and we can constructively (this is not open forum to be a bitch) give criticism or praise or whatever! ALSO. Why not tell us what YOU like and dislike in a teaser. It's good to know.
